Maclaren volo, combi flare or other lightweight stroller?

We will be traveling from California to Europe when my kids will be 20 months and 3 yrs. I have never been but I’m assuming lots of walking and tour bus travel plus the airport, so I’m looking for a very light weight stroller (under 12 lbs) and under $100 as we already have 3 others and this stroller will only be for that trip. I will also take my Ergo carrier so the 3 year old can ride and i carry baby or toddler walks baby rides. I was looking at the Mac volo and love the weight and steering but it has no recline anyones kids ever slept in it without head slumping? How about the combi flare stroller? Any other stroller suggestions under $100 and under $12 lbs?

I would go with the Combi Flare. If you can find the Combi Comso EX on sale even better. The advantage of the Cosmo (retail $140) is a deeper recline, larger wheels, 5 point harness, and a somewhat wider wheel-base. It weighs 13lbs, so it’s above your limit, but is such a great stroller I wanted to mention it. I have sold 300+ Combi’s over the past 3 years and have had 3 returned. All 3 were broken in the box and not in use. The return rate for Maclaren is much higher.

Also make sure to check the weight limit of the stroller, and if anyone using the stroller is tall make sure it has taller handles and no bar between the back wheels. Both the Maclaren and the Combi are suitable for taller people.

For weight, both the Maclaren and the Combi are good up to 55lbs. Most cheap umbrella strollers are 25lbs, most lightweight jeeps ($35-50) are 35lbs, Chicco Capri ($80) 37lbs to give you some examples.
